PERMANENT MAKEUP
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Permanent makeup, also known as micro-pigmentation, is a form of tattooing; however, unlike traditional tattoos, permanent makeup is designed to last only for a few years. This enables clients to change their brow designs to keep up with current trends, or in case they fancy a change, whether that be brows, lips or eyeliner.
The procedure involves tiny particles of cosmetic tattoo pigments inserted into the skin with either a tattoo needle or a micro-blade. The pigment will remain in the skin for several years, gradually breaking down and fading with time. However, the longevity of the results depends on many factors such as age, skin type, sun exposure, aftercare, lifestyle, health, skincare etc.
If performed correctly and in a flattering, natural way, permanent makeup should give the illusion of 'born with it' beauty.
You can choose from many different styles of brows, lips and liner. Below will be an in-depth description of each style available at Poise. It is essential to know that all client's preferences are different, and each style can be adapted to cater for each individual. The desired outcome will be discussed during the consultation process.

OMBRÉ BROWS
£285
The ombre technique is also known as powder brows, shading and pixel brows. This technique is created using a single-needle digital machine, much like a conventional body tattoo machine but designed for semi-permanent makeup. With this machine and needle, we are implanting thousands of tiny, tiny pixels (dots) into the skin; however, unlike body art tattoos, we work less deep in the skin.
The ombre design is created by implanting more colour in the tails, which gradually fades out seamlessly towards the front of the eyebrows creating the 'ombre effect’. This will give the eyebrow a soft powdery effect.
When implanting pixels into the skin, we can create them more compact to give a fuller, more defined ‘makeup look’, or they can be dispersed more delicately to achieve a softer result upon healing. Ombre can also be created with an outline for a more defined finish or without an outline to give a softer appearance.
This is all down to preference which will be discussed during the consultation process.
This technique is suitable for all skin types, less invasive on the skin, and generally lasts longer than micro-blading.

NANO/ HAIRSTROKE BROWS
£285
If you are someone that prefers a more natural fluffy textured look, then the hair stroke brows are the ones for you!
Machine hair-strokes are created with a tattoo-like machine with one needle. Much like micro-blading, we are creating fine lines throughout the eyebrow to create the illusion of natural hairs for a more fluffy natural look. If you want hair strokes with some added depth, the combré style may be better suited.
This treatment is also a perfect choice for anyone with alopecia or anyone who has had chemotherapy or has over-plucked their eyebrows. With this technique, we can reconstruct the brow area from scratch creating the most natural eyebrow. Hair strokes are suitable for most skin types except excessively oily skin or skin with larger pores.
Micro-blading is a technique that is created using a handheld tool (micro-blade). This blade is made up of tiny needles. This tool creates paper-like cuts in the skin through the brow to mimic natural hairs. Micro-blading is only recommended on normal to dry skin types as, if the technique is performed on oily skin; the strokes risk blurring together once healing.

COMBRÉ BROWS
£285
This style of the brow combines the ombre and hair stokes - the best of both worlds, as we call it. You may have also heard this referred to as combination brows, fusion brows, or blade and shade.
The combré brow design is created by placing hair strokes at the head of the brow, fading out into an ombre tail creating the ‘combré effect.’
The combination brows design is created by placing hair strokes evenly throughout the brow to build texture whilst adding shading for extra depth.
The chosen design depends on preference, which will be discussed during the consultation process.

LIP BLUSH
£285
This treatment is created with a cosmetic tattooing machine; like ombré brows, we implant tiny pixels of pigment into the skin.
Are you tired of applying lipstick/liner?
Do you want to add more definition to your lips?
Have you lost colour in your lips due to age/lip filler?
Whatever it may be, we’ve got you! Lip blush is a fantastic treatment to restore the natural colour into the lip area, add definition and reduce asymmetry or add a pop of colour - if that's what you're into.
Clients who have suffered from cold sores (Herpes virus – Herpes simplex) can experience symptoms of the infection after the treatment of the lips. You should take an anti-viral medication for one week before the treatment.

FRECKLES
£130
Freckle tattoos are a relatively new addition to the PMU family and are a form of cosmetic tattooing that recreates the look of natural freckles on the face.
This treatment is becoming increasingly popular as more people embrace the natural look and see beauty in what was once considered imperfections.
The freckles can be created on the nose, cheeks, temples, chin, or anywhere on the face. As freckles form in different shapes naturally, we believe in creating them in various shapes, sizes and colours to make them look as realistic as possible. However, this treatment can be personalised as we are seeing some people wanting cute stars and hearts.
